Wow... A German court refuses extradition to the UK, after asking about "chronic overcrowding, staff shortages, violence among inmates", only receiving a vague, last-minute email frok a police station in Manchester about "creating an extra 20,000 prison places", and then being ignored.
Prisons in the UK no longer meet EU standards, according to a judgment in a German court, and prisoners cannot be extradited according to EU law.
Whether other EU courts will agree with this remains to be seen.
Alabama Department of Corrections is on a statewide lockdown after a prisoner took a guard hostage last night, stealing his gun and vest. The situation is ongoing.
Shaw, who took the guard hostage has said on Facebook live “They like to use crime and punishment as the guise for keeping up white supremacy but that’s an old trick that’s been exposed..They profess to be about law and order but they don’t follow no kind of laws these people break the laws. Completely disregard the laws bend the laws and do all of that as they see it.”
A woman who has gone to the prison in support of Shaw said “This is the thing. They kill our loved ones, they kill our people on the inside on a regular basis. Nobody does anything they get away with it. But when they feel like something is going to happen to one of theirs, look how they respond. They don’t want to be peaceful.”
Approximately 110 people have already died is ADOC custody this year, and that is expected to be an undercount.

Ten anarchist comrades are accused in this investigation, including five comrades from Carrara, for whom the prosecutor initially asked for detention. In addition to searches in the homes, the Anarchist Cultural Circle “Gogliardo Fiaschi”, the historic center of anarchists in Carrara, has been the subject of a descent. Magazines, books, leaflets, posters and computer supplies have been seized. The preliminary investigation judge has decided on four residential assignments with all restrictions, five house arrests with return to prison at night. One comrade is not subject to any restriction. Luigi, one of the four residential comrades had no official residence: he was therefore transferred to the Spezia prison."
