I know I've been using the hashtag AIIsShit, but I should note that this is mostly a reaction to the lofty promises that some people make with regard to what they call "AI."
I think LLM are perfectly good at producing plausible nonsense. However, the keyword here is *nonsense*.
I use AI for voice generation and sometimes the results are pretty amazing. I can give it something like "you don't believe me?" and it will know to put the emphasis on the word "believe." I don't have to tell it to do this.
I've also heard of very specialized AI used in medicine to detect tumors...
It remains, however, that a lot of the promises that are made about AI are crap.

And... why is it so popular in #JavaScript? Sure, examples look readable, but you add error handling (necessary in an actual app), and they're not so great anymore.
