Oliver is right, there isn't one special book that defines Johnson, each of his works somehow feels a little unremarkable in isolation. It's Johnson's tone, the reflective posture, that make him.

Why bother when wikis and anime database sites exist? AniAnimals.moe is meant to be modern, curated, and animal-focused site with video at its core. I want #cute and #facts, not #prose of #plot. I've found that English Wikipeda, Fandom, Anime-Planet misgender, misname and outright present mistakes as facts. I spend effort looking through the Japanese wikis and #RawManga to find the truth. And I'm ok with admitting and correcting my mistakes. Wikis have to deal with politics and power plays about ownership.

Writing in #prose in english is so difficult for me. I have all of these big emotions and way too many words to attempt to describe them, yet at the same time, I can’t seem to make any of the words fit right.

I am a native english speaker, but I occasionally write in french because I find it easier to express my thoughts when I do not have ability to use every single word combination with more or less fluency. Going even further, I’ve written an entire #poetry book using a minimmalist conlang (#TokiPona) because having only 120ish words was somehow easier to think with than English lol? just feeling frustrated at the vastness of my lexicon and my inability to harness it to the fullest potential.

Whew. Talk about a book fetish...
