I could picture these guys wearing #SterlingMorrison's wraparound shades playing #Warhol's Factory, or at the #Fillmore in front of #JeffersonAirplane's ameoba-like projected images, perhaps as some alternate-timeline precursor to #SonicYouth.
“Jaded Jean” appeared first on their 1998 album “Smoke Ghost,” and again on their “Use With Headphones Late At Night (Best Of 1990-2000)” collection released in 2001, following the group's disbanding. Since then they've released the occasional live recording, compilation, or remix of old material, but this April announced that they’ve reunited and have been writing together. Coooool, man.

After recording on The Beach Boys' first four albums, guitarist David Marks created one of my favorite psychedelic pop albums - 1968's The Moon Without Earth. Since there's so little info about this band, I asked David about the sitar on the album. He said that was a guy from TN. David played guitar and some bass. Neat to get that info right from David!

She was gone far too soon at 27. We had just 2 band albums and only 1 solo album from Janis.
This is her final song, she was starting to really come in to writing her own material, and it's one of her final recordings.
Right after her song ends she ad libs "that's it" and then she laughs.

Janis is rightly a legend (although she was gone before even making it out of her 20s).
This song just gives me chills (also especially her Summertime off same album). So much passion in Janis Joplin's performances.
