I've been trying several third party Mastodon apps (#Elk, #Pinafore, etc) and so far haven't found one I like better than the vanilla (well, #glitchsoc) web app.

Or are they just mirrors of said networks' other social media accounts (be it someone pretending to be the official account or a 3rd party bot)?

Check out my sweet new Palm m500! After seeing @kelbot tooting about theirs I decided to pick one up. I love the screen, the one bit aesthetic and it's small form factor. My problem is that all the apps that sync with my Linux desktop are gone. I checked WayBack and was able to find some source code but I don't think it's complete. I even tried running the windows app under Wine but it hates USB. Any one know how to get a palm os device to sync with Linux? #question #RetroPortables #palm #linux

#email #archives - how do you do it, if you do it? I've been using #MailStore for like forever.
I like to keep only my most current emails in my actual email account, everything else goes into the archives. It presents a neater division of materials for my messy mind.
I export all the emails as .eml files occasionally - in case something goes bad with MailStore's db (it's Firebird and maybe I just don't know enough about it, but I don't quite trust it).

Does anyone know where to get decent quality reading glasses? I have implants that fix my nearsightedness. They work great, but have more or less wiped out my close-up vision. Now I need glasses to read or play on my Switch. The only ones I can find (easily) have cheap lenses and give me a headache. In consultation with my doctor, I have decided that after 3 years I'd like to see what life is like without antidepressants.
I am on 20mg Citalopram (an SSRI). We will very slowly lower the dose.
