Poised in hand

I dip the long feathered quill into the well.The crimson red is stark against the delicate paper. I labour over my words; the ink was rather special, coursing through the veins of my victim. He gave his life for these words, so I had to do him justice.

Jetzt haben wir es endlich geschafft, den #Quill zu besteigen, höchster Berg von #Statia. Hinauf zum Grat und 100 m tief hinein in den Krater, in dem ein Urwald wächst. Danach auf dem Grat fast bis zum höchsten Punkt (500m). In der immer wieder wechselnden Vegetation sahen wir viele Echsen, Geckos und Einsiedlerkrebse.
Bis in den Krater hat uns ein kanadisches Paar begleitet, beide 75. So will ich in dem Alter auch noch wandern können!
