("Atomic helium": I know helium molecules are possible under very stringent conditions but generally I don't think it's necessary to specify that your noble gas is atomic.)

The military originally planned to build another set of Saturn I launch sites, but that vehicle’s production was stopped.
When Boeing needed a site for their new rocket, #SLC37B was chosen.

After #NASA retired the #Space #Shuttle in 2011, they planned to send the #Orbiters to museums. To get them ready, NASA removed the #SSME #rocket #engines and replaced them with replicas and decontaminated the parts of the Orbiter that held toxic fuel for in-space maneuvering, then be put on the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft.

Project #Farside was an attempt to reach very high altitudes using a balloon in the stratosphere as launch platform. The #vector was composed of four #Recruit rockets as stage one, one Recruit as stage 2, a cluster of 4 Arrow-2 as stage 3, and finally one #Arrow-2 as stage 4.

The #balloon carried the #rocket in a suspended vertical aluminum structure below it. At an altitude of 30 km, the rocket was fired straight through the balloon piercing it as it ascended.

Went outside to roll the bins in and managed to catch a #rocket #launch from Vandenberg.
