El libro “La Herbolaria de lxs Presxs” fue escrito por Nicole Rose, ex-presa anarquista, con base en sus vivencias con plantas durante los casi 3.5 años en la cárcel. Creado para las personas en prisión que quieren conocer las propiedades medicinales de las plantas que se encuentran comúnmente en los patios de las cárceles, el libro contiene perfiles detallados de diez plantas seleccionadas, instrucciones sobre cómo prepararlas dentro de la prisión para atender a varias afecciones, y más.
Dos compañerxs – Jorge y Heather Anne – tradujeron el libro al español. Se decidió crear dos ediciones – una para las personas encarceladas en el Estado Español, y la otra para las personas encarceladas en todo Abya Yala (el nombre en Guna para las llamadas Américas, utilizado por millones de pueblos indígenas en estos continentes), y los llamados Estados Unidos y Canadá, lo cual fue una gran labor de apoyo mutuo de varixs colaboradores.
La compañera Heather Anne estará con nosotrxs para presentar el libro, y conversaremos acerca de las condiciones carcelarias y los casos específicos de algunxs presxs políticxs en México. Habrá un espacio y materiales para escribir cartas y hacer dibujos para quienes gusten enviar un gesto solidario a lxs compañerxs en el encierro.

One of the best siu yuk in the city at the moment is at Cantoo, a Cantonese-Venezuelan restaurant in the Tenderloin. They call it lechon, of course. But you can also say siu yuk. In fact you can speak Spanish, Cantonese or English to them. The quality of their food is so good and they are way cheaper than (1) most SF restaurants and (2) even cheaper and better than Chinatown SF restaurants
