Well that was an unexpectedly quick end to the night… Benadryl is kicking in 🥱 🥱 🥱. Looks like I have 3 stings but the swelling is not too bad and the ice has helped. No pain. Just time for sleep… 😂 😴 See ya in the morning! Danger of allergic reaction should be passed.

It's rare because Balthasar (the Fluffy Void Kitty) is comfortable with both Aurora and Mew, but those two aren't comfortable with being in physical contact with each other.
(I hadn't realised I caught Mew in the middle of a yawn until I was going through the pictures :jolteon_giggle: )

For almost all my life I was pretty consistent with #sleep. Slept well, even if it was as short as 5 or 4 hours. Never felt too sleepy, even had problems taking a nap. No insomnia though.
Fast forward to today, and for the past year or two I'm constantly #sleepy, and fall asleep almost spontaneously. I have problems staying awake for more than a few hours.
I mean, I know that I'm not getting younger, but hot damn. Can I get at least one productive day?

Also, I'm not sure that #kava makes me sleepy. I had some during the day yesterday and I did not feel especially #sleepy. Maybe the new, more potent strain, does not cause sleepiness??? 🤷 And the old did??? 🤷
Update on the #lamotrigine... right now I think taking it at night is helpful. I used to take an afternoon nap years ago (like when I was in my 20s) so I may still get #sleepy in the afternoon but today was noticeably better than before.
Maybe it will help with sleep tonight. 😉

I think moving my #lamotrigine to the evening may be making a difference. I've been active all morning long and haven't felt the sleepiness.
When I took my lamotrigine in the morning, usually, by the end of the morning I'd start feeling sleepy right after lunch and I'd want a nap.
I'm resting now, but I don't really feel like taking a nap.

Our cat is a splendid teacher of deep relaxation. Just slowly changing its position, eyes open - sometimes closed. Often just observing the situation nearly asleep. The life of a cat seems to be so easy. We should really be learning this way of relaxing, I think it's worth it.

Started drifting off on the couch last night and instead of #sleeping there, I climbed in to bed. 8.5 hours later I’m awake. It’s obscenely early (5:30am) but I feel… rested? I think? I also feel confused/off-kilter. I feel #sleepy (just waking up) but not *tired.* My #anxiety is high, and without it I might’ve slept longer…? I think this is what it feels like to have had a “good night’s sleep.” (Relatively.)
