Ist eigentlich bei der neuen, jetzt doch als „Slim“ getauften #PS5 die Leistungsaufnahme ⚡ bekannt? Vor allem der Vergleich zur letzten Revision der „alten“ #Playstation5, die ja bereits im Vergleich zu ersten PS5 einiges optimierte, würde mich interessieren. Denn bliebe die #Slim auf gleichem Niveau, gäbe es bis auf die Größe keinen nennenswerten Grund, auf die neue zu setzen. Die sonstige Performance ist leider identisch und wird sich erst mit #PS5Pro (ggf. Ende 2024) verbessern. Erschwerend kommt hinzu, dass der Preisunterschied gewaltig ist: Die „alte“ PS5 bekommt man derzeit schon für 430 Euro. Die Slim startet regulär bei 550 Euro. Das sind 120 Euro, die man besser in ein Spiel und einen zusätzlichen Controller investieren könnte. Sprich: Wenn die Slim tatsächlich weniger Strom verbraucht, könnte es sich mittelfristig auch finanziell lohnen. Sonst nicht.

@claudiom so. 1st step done. #OpenBSD 6.6 installation in #VirtualBox (see picture).
Base system is working (root and user login).
Then I tried #XFCE with #slim. Installation ran without any issue, reboot reaches slim login but logging in as root (as well as user) it ends with „ ... failed“, gray X suface for a short moment and then back in slim. 🙁🤔
So, next: find out, how to boot without X (single user?) and repair this (error in ~/.xinitrc ?). Note to myself: 1st try by hand next time.
