I truly hope it clears up before to much longer.
It was like this for several weeks here. It even got way worse as seen in the 2nd and 3rd photos. The first two are both looking towards the East and the other is looking West.

What a difference a #lakebreeze makes. A "back door" cold #front has cooled lakeshore communities quite a bit in the #Northland compared to Saturday's heat.

I want to do things. but I have to severely limit myself (already have one chronic lung condition, don't need to exacerbate that or layer things on top) plus going outside just doesn't feel good - sure you can put on a mask (... again), but your eyes will be burning. this is affecting my mental health at this point!?*

ok bbq Peeps did yall know you can do an entire TURKEY on a weber grill? It is magnificent but takes some tending and ALL DAY but if done right your turkey will taste smoked like ham! It is a method called Indirect cooking. You start with a pile of coals; when they are nice and hot make four small piles on the edges of your #weber adding just a couple of coals to each pile as they burn down. The trick is to keep the heat low and slow, adding some soaked wood chips often for smoke; I also spatter grease on them each time I open it to tend them. This works best with a thermometer you can see from outside so dont open it if the temp is right only if it is cooling and you need to add coals. Sometimes I blow it and have to remove the bird and start over if they have gone out so it is an art but omfreaking god you will never do turkey in your oven again! I even do this in winter but I am a purist. #bbq #turkey #birdsofmastodon #smoke

Sunday night dram. Going smoky!!
Lagavulin 8 y/o 48% abv, NCF, e150a colour.
I'm always thrown when I pour this very light coloured whisky from the smoked green glass bottle, for some reason I expect it to be darker than it is. Surprisingly gentle smoke with a slight sulfureous aroma like a struck match. Not the overwhelming TCP, bonfire smoky notes you often get from peated whisky. In the mouth it starts with a nice smoky, salty zing and develops into a creamy sweet mouthful with some subtle grass and floral notes appearing. Chocolatey, spicy, chilli long lasting finish, leaving a wonderful warmth on the tongue and throat.
This Lagavulin always surprises me, it's not the fiery heat and smoky slap around the chops you sometimes get from a peaty dram. It's gentle, smooth and delicious.
You can often pick it up as a supermarket bargain for under £40.

@QasimRashid my problem with #insulin and making it #free is the fact that some are born with it and others brought it on themselves through bad life choices and habits.
If you are born with it and you had no control, it is a life sentence that you need help with, while I feel why should others pay if you are #obese and you cause it yourself?
That being said, others can say if they don't #smoke, why should they pay for #healthcare of #smokers #cancer treatment?
It's not a simple #debate, but why should only the state be allowed to #vote on such topics? It should be #open, #transparent and #public and we should have a say. Not a bunch of 60 year olds that are disconnected with modern day society and living in the past.
