I've spent the past couple of days futzing around with influxdb, telegraf, and grafana.
It works but for my use case of graphing a bit of data via MQTT it is way more complex than it needs to be.
The whole shebang could easily be replaced with 5 lines of shell script and rrdtool. I'll let this run for a couple days but may still do that.
