Really nice that the “new and improved” customer-facing user interface for receipts for #Square payments (used by lots of small businesses) has replaced the big “Send Receipt” button that used to be in the middle of the screen with a tiny text-only “Send Receipt” button… in the top-right corner of the screen (the rest of the screen being mostly empty, of course).

#Square, the payment processor, has had a global outage for the past 10 hours with no end in sight. Apparently #CashApp has also been down all day too.
I chatted with a couple restaurant owners on Mission St who had to send their staff home early because of the outage. Square has had hour-long outages before, but nothing as severe as this.
