I AM a bit surprised that so many governments have bent over and opened their pants, and wallets, to proprietary players who then gather those monopoly profits. HT to ANL.gov, who at least has been trying to get it right.

Best guessing: Either they're going to get monumentally screwed someday when he charges monopoly rents (after initial contracts expire) or they're working with him to create a cartel. Musk wins either way.

Easier to remember that Saskatoon is 1 hour behind Toronto and 6 hours behind London except in the summer when it's 2 and 7 hours behind, with the exception of the weeks when Europe and North America are out of sync on UTC, when the difference between Saskatoon and London is 🤷
And if #aviation used local timezones instead of UTC, arrivals and departures would be far interesting.

It's so much easier to remember that there are 3 teaspoons to the tablespoon, 2 tablespoons to the fluid ounce, 8 fluid ounces to the cup, 2 cups to the pint, 2 pints to the quart, 4 quarts to the gallon (except in the UK where it's 5 quarts), 42 gallons to the barrel (33.6 gallons in the UK), and so on.
