Sumatran tigers are the smallest of all tigers (still big) & only island tigers not extinct. Yet. They're critically endangered as they lose their forests (food) to palm oil production & logging. And hungry tigers will take a chance with humans. Which doesn't end well for either.
Anyway, here's a cute Sumatran tiger family I saw at Tierpark Berlin earlier this year on my birthday. Those two girls took great pleasure in torturing their dad.
At one point they left him alone and started wrestling each other and the sucker must have really hated his peace because he went to separate them...
The Sumatran kitties were there, still practicing their stalking and attack skills on dad and tormenting him in general... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9r1s8iMp5k they're just bigger now.
At one point, they left him alone and started wrestling each other. He must have hated his peace - he went to separate them and ended up with one biting his head and the other his hind legs and tail...

Destined to be wild and in the fiery ferocity,
My tiger stripes are earned" ~ unknown
