Funnily enough, I got the atomic purple Limited Run Games x CRKD Nitro Deck dock for my OLED #Switch today, the same day scalpers stole the transparent purple #AnaloguePocket from me. 🙄

I have to admit that I might use this more than the Pocket, but who knows? I go in spurts of wanting to play retro games vs current ones.

First impression is that it does add a lot of weight to the Switch, and the ABXY buttons sometimes don’t register being pressed as expected. More later. #gaming #console

With some luck you can snipe a #GPDwin used on eBay but I'd not think it can do anything beyond PSP, PS1 & Dreamcast and maybe some #3DS games...

That price point is hard to hit outside of buying a used #new3DS...

Not shure if a #Fairphone5 with a Bluetooth Controller would fit the bill...

Been wanting to pick up the #BatenKaitos remaster on Switch really bad, but I've been busy the past few days. Its one of those #GameCube games I've never played, but have considered buying a GameCube for in the present.

Thing is it was digital only in America, no digital preorders allowed either. Had a busy few days since it launched, and im buying it to play this morning. Before I did I said to myself "Better dial up a review, and make sure it's not a broken port or something."

Save there are virtually no reviews out. Did #BandaiNamco send this out to die? I know its had almost no press here in America too. #Nintendo #Videogames #Switch #NintendoSwitch

I really like the 8BitDo's SN30 pro.

I use it as my extra controller for Switch, Mac and Steam Deck and it especially shines when traveling.

All the other main options (like DualSense, Switch Pro Controller or Xbox controller) are all rather bulky to fit into a backpack where as this lil' fella slides right in for the travel gaming.

I finished Pikmin 4.

I badly want to have positive memories about this game but I was tired and aggravated with the final sequence.

Also, I hate boss fights as a design pattern in games and this game has one. Worse, it's multi-staged.

The last 33% of the game was completely unnecessary. Once it lost the momentum I was like 'are we there yet god dammit?'.

(Dandori battles and challenges are cool though)

As usual lately, playing (grinding) on Demon's Tier+ at night on Switch (its also on Steam and other consoles) which is a KILLER roguelike (maybe I've talked about it here before, I forget). Anyway, I've been unlocking characters, trying to unlock all the tiers too. Its TOUGH, at least for me.

Some tips I can pass along:

-Always buy potions when you can (pricey, 3000 coins), keys (1000 coins, for freeing prisoners - they give you more money if you make it out, and improve your attacks) and rope (200 coins, the cheapest and a good way of zapping out of a dungeon if you're going to die so you keep your coins).

-You can often find the grave of where you previously died in the dungeon with your ghost in front, and if you destroy the gravestone, you'll get all your cash back.

-You have to achieve the mission and escape the level and not get hit by the reaper, who comes out when your time runs out. He will kill you, and if you see him, run, use a rope to escape up, etc. If he touches you, you're dead.

-When every level starts, you're in a temporary glowing shielded ring like in the photo below - if your character class has ranged attacks, just stand in that as long as it's there and blast as many monsters as you can before it fades - they can't hurt you in there.

There is one trend in gaming that I wish would just go away. That is having text in the game that is microscopic. I am an older gamer and having fonts that are smaller than a whisker on an ant just really makes it hard to enjoy a #game especially if it's an RPG or other #narrative heavy game. It's not that freaking hard to bump your font up is it? I see this especially with #mobile or #switch games. Why? I'm absolutely sure that it won't break your game to have non-microscopic fonts. #gamedev #accessibility
