I made tortillas from scratch again. Better this time.
I craved a steak taco so I riffed on a carne asada recipe I found and dry-rubbed a flat iron for a day (cumin, ancho, etc). Cooked that rare-ish.
On the taco is a thin strip of refried pinto beans, white onions, cilantro, avocado, the steak, creamy feta cheese, lime juice, and restaurant style salsa I made today.
It was messy to eat but using a fork and knife did not kill my thrill. #tacos #food #cooking
Back in SF and at Uno Dos Tacos which is still my fav go-to spot for lunch in this area.

Sometimes, being bad is being good to yourself.
But it’s a little better when you air-fry your own corn tortilla chips.
I used the tortillas I made earlier by cutting, tossing in just 4 teaspoons canola oil for all these chips, and cooked at 375° for about 10 minutes.
The sun was in my eyes so I stopped working for an hour & made 2 dozen corn tortillas, as you do.
I wanna make some chips for dinner to repurpose my leftover cauliflower cheese sauce into queso fundido.
But I’ll air fry them and keep the indulging to a limit.
You can do it with storebought tortillas too. Just cut them into chips, toss or spray with oil, air fry a few at a time.
