it feels so weird being in my apartment for the last night ever. i have so many thoughts running through my mind, the #tarot cards i pulled today were so strong, and i can feel the spirits of this place around me. it’s sad but exciting. lots of laughs but even more cries. it’s been a learning experience.

It's that time when I start looking at my daily #tarot pulls to get a review of the year. Statistically, I pull each card around 4 or 5 times, so I pay attention to the ones that appear more or less frequently.
This year I've pulled the 6 of Pentacles the most, ten times so far, so I'm naming it the card of the year. I remember in 2016 when I pulled The Tower 18 times, but I've literally not seen it for two years in a row now.

This test also didn't turn out great. I needed to use a thinner plaster mix. The mold I got off etsy (you'd think I'd learn by now) and the banner you see at the bottom really did a horrible job of rendering the embossed letters. It looks like a four year old wrote it.
For my next test batch, not yet painted, I actually went back and filled in the banner completely with more plaster, and will sand them flat to just write on them with paint instead.

My name's Beth (they/them pronouns, please), and I'm a #nonbinary and #asexual #pagan, #witch, and #tarot reader. I'm also very much a #polytheist .
I do have a more mundane account here on Mastodon where I talk a lot about gaming of all kinds (and you can follow me over on @thyanel if that's of interest to you), but I recently realized I missed having a community of pagans to talk to and connect with, so here I am! This account will not only be for that, but also to share things that connect to my path and my craft, and I'm excited to be part of this space.
At one point in time, I absolutely considered myself a Norse pagan, but as time went on, I found it didn't completely mesh with my worldview. I'd consider myself a bit more eclectic nowadays, but I'm still not entirely sure if the label fits me or not.
I also own and operate an online shop, The Quiet Cat Atelier (hence the username), which is primarily for tarot readings and (eventually) other things like printables and stuff like that, but I did open it with a love of tarot in mind. I've been a tarot reader for 20 years now and it's one of my favorite ways of learning more about myself and connecting to the world around me.
More mundanely, I'm a cat auncle to two adorable cats who share my space and I love them even though they're occasionally chaos gremlins. I still consider New England to be my home despite no longer residing there. I hope to go back one day, but for now, I am where I am and am trying to make the best of it.

The Four of Swords is a #Tarot card that deals with themes of recuperation, introspection, sanctuary and deliberation.
One can read the three swords (often hanging on a wall or leaning against something) as resources and energy saved for a time of need or future plans and the single one (either in-hand or resting on the floor) as something that is ready to be used immediately if necessary or as an immediate purpose.
For #ScreenshotSaturday thought I'd show some mockups for BATTLE of TAROT digital edition that @bram & I are working on.
These are some mockups I did showcasing a couple styles.
First we have the classic Rider-Waite-Smith deck (public domain) using a background from Cze and Peku (on Patreon).
Second we have a pixel art style using cards from Chee-Seekins with a background from Cainos (both on Itch).
