Watched #TheFlash this weekend. I don't care what others say, I think witnessing #MichaelKeaton reprise his role as #Batman alone makes this worth seeing. Simple, and nicely done. We have the older Flash in his own title, we have her daughter, so this book seems that it's gonna be about family, which kind of makes sense. Honestly it's the kind of book that it's OK if you read and it's OK if you don't, but with so many titles leaving you the impression of "why, just... why", that's way better than it seems.

Please help #comics #writer and #artist William Messner-Loebs and his wife stay in their home. Illness and injuries have left them in dire financial straits, and they're facing eviction.
His run on #TheFlash is one of my favorites. The character work on #WallyWest from when he started to when he finished was amazing, and he made me think about a lot of social issues as a teenager that I might not have encountered until later.
I finally got round to watching the end of #TheFlash and #Titans, they both kind of fizzled out but I'm a completionist.
Anyway, in The Flash one of my pet peeves reered its ugly head again, a hole, dug by hand with a spade, with perfectly level sides.
Ugh, really bugs me, anyone who has dug any kind of hole knows this is impossible without a machine!

OK so #TheFlash gets better once the time travel stuff happens but WTF why is all the CGI so bad in this movie? The CGI effects are just constant uncanny valley every single time.

Yikes. Good thing Warner Bros. disappeared that "Batgirl" movie for penny-pinching tax write-off reasons / claims it supposedly wasn't good enough for theatrical release, right? 🙄
It would never happen because the reason Flashpoint keeps getting adapted is not because it's the most noteworthy Flash story, but because it's the most noteworthy Flash story that DC's chief creative officer wrote.
But I think about the world with this in it. Maybe it'd be a failure but it'd at least be an interesting failure. Putting CGI necromancy up against Spider-Verse 2 isn't even an interesting failure.
So I've been thinking about it in the wake of the movie's soft opening and underperforming: what I'd want out of a Flash movie. With the caveat that it can't be a Wally West story, or else the list would be all the stuff I grew up on (AKA the best stuff)
And I thought, you know what has potential as a movie? The Trial of the Flash.
#TheFlash is not better than #AcrossTheSpiderverse but it's surpassed my expectations, I think it's worth watching for comedy and action alone despite the terrible CGI (worse than The Arrowverse sometimes)

I think seeing Ezra Miller attend the red carpet premier of #TheFlash has made up my mind on not going to the theater to see it. I was on the fence- happy to support the other cast and crew, but the lack of consequence for Miller has left a really bad taste in my mouth...
I'm reconnecting with people I've lost touch with just to tell them to go watch the #TheFlash (2023). It's that stupendously marvellous.
The film single-handedly explains everything wrong with the entire #DCEU and almost makes it forgivable. It's also the most perfect ending before the new #DCU begins.
I've watched and hated every single DCEU movie, except for all the #Batman movies up till 2013, and I must say I am highly impressed.
Still obsessing about #TheFlash seemingly being on its way to a somewhat underwhelming box office debut. I really think it doesn't have much to do with Ezra Miller, and instead has everything to do with how this movie was marketed.
The movie may or may not have a cool story, but the marketing was just "THERE ARE CAMEOS". If you don't care about old superhero movie trivia, they suggested, this film isn't for you.
#TheFlash trailer has me excited, all because of #MichaelKeaton. Seeing & hearing him just transports me back to 1989 and loving how #TimBurton brought a comic book to the screen, with my favorite superhero.
