Run, Iris, Run: An excellent power swap episode, where Iris ends up with Barry's powers. I actually thought Iris with Barry's speed powers was great fun, and it's a shame that both Barry and Iris can't be speedsters at the same time. #TheFlash
The Flash #3 preview. After the arrival of the Stillness last issue, the alien speedsters begin traveling around the world, with Max Mercury watching their every move #comics #comicbooks #theflash #flash
Watched 4 movies in the last 2 days. Quick thoughts:
Something from Tiffanys (Amazon): meh, the characters were inconsistent and a bit annoying
Genie (Peacock): Melissa McCarthy steals every mediocre movie she agrees to be in
The Marvels (theater): meh storyline and villain, loved the interactions between the three mains.
The Flash (DVD from library): oof, rough from storyline to CGI, pretty much everything.

Enter Flashtime: A spectacular episode. The Flashtime concept is neat, allowing Flash to have some great character moments with each member of Team Flash bar Joe. There's some major personal stakes in this story too, as it leaves Barry mentally exhausted from all of the running he has to do. #TheFlash
The printed non photo blue sketch has been waiting for me to ink it for almost three years :blob_dizzy_face: My silly defense is that uh, 2022 was bad in general and the other two years got swamped with other priorities :blob_sweat:
Anyway! This is a wraparound cover to a fanbook for the character Lia Nelson, The Flash, from #TangentComics, filled with art and headcanons I did around 2014/15 to uhhh 2017? Plus new planned art for the book. 💫

„The Flash“ – Die Kritik mit Anspruch
Subject 9: I enjoyed this one. It concerns a metahuman called Izzy who can produce killer soundwaves. The episode does a great job at really making us care for her, which makes it hurt all the more when DeVoe claims her as his latest victim. #TheFlash

Watched #TheFlash this weekend. I don't care what others say, I think witnessing #MichaelKeaton reprise his role as #Batman alone makes this worth seeing. Being as old as I am he is MY Batman, period. I also liked this particular incarnation of #Supergirl, a refreshing change from the blonde, blue-eyed 'standard' #DCU
The Flash: Nicolas Cage unzufrieden mit seinem Superman-Cameo #TheFlash
La película #TheFlash (2023) tuvo la sorprendente participación de #NicolasCage como #Superman y esto es lo que opina el actor. https://www.cinemascomics.com/nicolas-cage-habla-de-su-cameo-en-the-flash/
The Flash #2 preview. As Wally West faces massively powered-up old foes as well as a new, mysterious being, he encounters a group of alien explorers who are very interested in Wally's powers #comics #comicbooks #theflash
Simple, and nicely done. We have the older Flash in his own title, we have her daughter, so this book seems that it's gonna be about family, which kind of makes sense. Honestly it's the kind of book that it's OK if you read and it's OK if you don't, but with so many titles leaving you the impression of "why, just... why", that's way better than it seems.
‘Jay Garrick: The Flash’ #1 review
The Garrick family will need to move fast to figure out who Doctor Elemental is.
The #DawnofDC initiative set a new status quo for the #DCUniverse, with multiple generations of heroes now sharing one reality. This new tone is perfectly exemplified in a recent team-up featuring #GreenLantern and #theFlash.
Tim Burton says “they can take what you did, Batman or whatever, & culturally misappropriate it. Even though you’re a slave of Disney or Warner Bros, they can do whatever they want. In my latter years of life, I’m in quiet revolt against all this”
Aaaaaaaaand, it JUST NOW occurred to me that Burton never signed off on his version of Batman showing up in #TheFlash 🤔
I don't find this overly surprising (most films that show up on streaming do well out-of-the-gate)... BUT, I am curious to know if those "numbers" lead to any new subscribers. More specifically, could that new revenue make up for the loss The Flash suffered at the box office?
Seems unlikely, but interesting to consider from an analytics point-of-view.
His run on #TheFlash is one of my favorites. The character work on #WallyWest from when he started to when he finished was amazing, and he made me think about a lot of social issues as a teenager that I might not have encountered until later.
Anyway, in The Flash one of my pet peeves reered its ugly head again, a hole, dug by hand with a spade, with perfectly level sides.
Ugh, really bugs me, anyone who has dug any kind of hole knows this is impossible without a machine!
OK so #TheFlash gets better once the time travel stuff happens but WTF why is all the CGI so bad in this movie? The CGI effects are just constant uncanny valley every single time.
Them: "The CGI in The Flash (2023) is some of the worst CGI I've ever seen put to film."
Me: "Ugh. They always say that shit. People always have to find something to complain about, and it's never as bad as they say."
watches The Flash in HD
Me: "Oh. Oh my gods. Why do the babies look like dolls that have been left out in the sun to melt? And that dog! What's wrong with its FACE!? It looks like Milo from The Mask, while he was wearing the mask! Why does Batman look like he's wearing Jay Leno's chin with black marker used to mark his beard stubble? Holy fucking shit."
looks at the critics
Me: "I am sorry, and I stand corrected." 😭
So after finally seeing #TheFlash. I've got to say it wasn't as bad as I expected. But getting through the first 20 minutes was rough. It got much better after the first speed force scene
#Aquaman2 is plagued by reshoots and a growing budget, according to those in the know - but what does this mean for the movie's future?
...and much more DC News:
Here's an #introduction! If you have fond memories of that very first #Batman trailer in 1989 when #MichaelKeaton whispered the words "I'm Batman" and made us believe him; if your favourite Christmas movie is #BatmanReturns; if you still think the "Dark Deco" #BTAS wasn't at all just for kids; if you rushed to grab last year's #Batman89 comics that attempted to continue the #Burtonverse; and if you celebrated the news of Burton's Batman being part of #TheFlash...then this account may be for you!
One thing that's always fun watching films in #Glasgow is when they have a #NewYork / #Gotham / old American city scene. You get to go, "Aye, that's the bit round the corner from #RCade." And it's practically obligatory to have #GeorgeSquare put in an appearance.
#DialOfDestiny #IndianaJones #TheFlash #Scotland
It would never happen because the reason Flashpoint keeps getting adapted is not because it's the most noteworthy Flash story, but because it's the most noteworthy Flash story that DC's chief creative officer wrote.
But I think about the world with this in it. Maybe it'd be a failure but it'd at least be an interesting failure. Putting CGI necromancy up against Spider-Verse 2 isn't even an interesting failure.
So I've been thinking about it in the wake of the movie's soft opening and underperforming: what I'd want out of a Flash movie. With the caveat that it can't be a Wally West story, or else the list would be all the stuff I grew up on (AKA the best stuff)
And I thought, you know what has potential as a movie? The Trial of the Flash.
I think seeing Ezra Miller attend the red carpet premier of #TheFlash has made up my mind on not going to the theater to see it. I was on the fence- happy to support the other cast and crew, but the lack of consequence for Miller has left a really bad taste in my mouth...
I'm reconnecting with people I've lost touch with just to tell them to go watch the #TheFlash (2023). It's that stupendously marvellous.
I've watched and hated every single DCEU movie, except for all the #Batman movies up till 2013, and I must say I am highly impressed.
Still obsessing about #TheFlash seemingly being on its way to a somewhat underwhelming box office debut. I really think it doesn't have much to do with Ezra Miller, and instead has everything to do with how this movie was marketed.
The movie may or may not have a cool story, but the marketing was just "THERE ARE CAMEOS". If you don't care about old superhero movie trivia, they suggested, this film isn't for you.
Ok I am actually properly excited about #TheFlash movie. My 1980s "hacker name" was The Flash so give me a break, OK?
Oh! I'm supposed to do an #introduction post you say..?
Very well, then!
