Dice rolls are the bread and butter to almost every mechanic. They have the form xdy+z, where x is the number of dice, y is the number of die sides, and z is a flat modifier to add/subtract.

For example, "3d4+6" means to roll 3, 4 sided dice, sum the result, and add 6.

On a brighter note I deal with #Xcode’s lack of cross-file templates when making conformance extension by first defining conformance in main structure like so:
Struct Person: Encodable {
}
Then in the struct’s body, I do something like `codingKeys` and press TAB in order to insert the template. Then I do the same with the `encodeTo` method and then I move stuff out to new file, such as `Person+EncodableConformance.swift` and remove the conformance from `person.swift`. Nice and clean. And shit is in order. #programming #tip

Random #tip for using the #Fediverse: not everyone is going to like you, or agree with you when you post something--just like in real life (or on other social networks)--stop expecting everyone to be exactly like you. That is what mute, block, filter is for. Also, if you're very sensitive to that, post "followers only" and NOT public, and block/remove people that annoy you. (this is not aimed at any one person or thing, just an observation of various gripes going around).

Here is a #TIP earned from a lifetime immersed in technology.

Note: Never ask your #IT folks to commit a crime.

Best case scenario is they help you & now have every shred of evidence to hang you out to dry. Flip & walk away like Kevin Spacey.
