Why is playing the keyboard so hard to do? Like, I can't seem to get my hands in the right place. I know where Middle C is and can play chords. But it's so weird to spread my fingers to play the notes and you have to cross them to play other notes according to the piano course on BARD. Like, it doesn't seem logical at all but it seems to work but it's so strange for me to do it so half the time I find myself just using my fingers to find the notes and just playing them and not borhtering with the proper position. Any #tips?

I don’t understand some parents. I have to deal with a kid who: throws a fit if told to turn off the TV, told to do something more than once though they still aren’t doing it, or if you tell them to stop doing a repetitive behavior. And behaving in public? What’s that? They are a *7th grader*, and they act worse than a kindergartner.
The parents are fine with this, and dismiss it as the other person being the issue. Sure, they may be the problem, but *please* teach the kid how to react better. And still another 4 hours of this…

While I was taking part in my twice daily traffic participation, I had a realisation.
I do not want to work from home at all at all. My home office is where my gaming computer is, and where I screen print, do ceramics, make things, etc. I also do not want my home spoiled by work.

If you want to ask someone for a favor but it’s a very small favor, you can call it a favorlet. They may find this cute, and laugh. And in my experience making the person laugh means they’re more likely to grant the favorlet. You can’t go wrong.
Today I learned that on my Mac, I can copy a URL, highlight a phrase in my document, press Command+K and it creates a link!
Some apps prompt you for the link and then you paste it in.
Other apps, like Obsidian, make a markdown representation for you. [Link Description]() and then you paste the link in between the ()
Ok this seems to work in a lot of apps - how did I go this long without knowing about it.

Making #biscuits. For the best flaky buttermilk biscuits, a few #tips:
Cold bowl, cold flour, frozen butter or lard will get you the best flaky layers.
Grating the butter or lard (best is a mix) on a box grater gets you perfect fat for layers.
Unsalted butter is best because it melts far slower when working with it or #baking it, creating the layers you want.
Never, ever twist or drag when cutting the biscuits — cut straight down or your biscuit layers will stick together & topple.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but making obligatory family visits are not the same thing as a vacation.
I call them oblications, and you usually need to rest up from them.
I finally got my Ubiquiti G4 Doorbell installed, but not quite the standard way. Big thanks to @tatham for teaching me a ton about AC/DC which made this much simpler. Watch for all the details, including actionable notifications in @homeassistant
