#Today my Crohn's flare feels like it's subsiding, without much more intervention from me that slightly upping my prednisolone dose.
But only sort of. I am exhausted and still have the runs. The real meds will be here soon. Not subsidised so they're $160 for a month's supply.
What I need to do today is attend to my goldfish, and push as many things around the house as I physically can, because a bloke is coming next week to fix up a chunk of kitchen for me, so I need to find somewhere to put all the things that I need to get out of the kitchen, which means making space elsewhere. Aiiie!
I also have a video appointment with my case manager, but I think that will be over quickly. Nothing she said she would arrange over the last 6 weeks has actually happened. So there's nothing new to talk about.

Well #Today I was going to do an outdoor bike ride but it's cold and windy. They're refinishing floors upstairs so my nose and throat burns a bit from the fumes. So needless to say it's going to be another rest day with no indoor or outdoor ride. Still looking forward to a nice night eating delicious home cooked food and relaxing with my family.

#today was very stressful, with bus problems and hospital assessments and subjecting myself to ikea on the way back. Is there any good reason I shouldn't just go to bed?
(In fairness, the people at the hospital were very friendly and helpful and made that a lot easier.)
(Also I did get a slice of pizza from the much loved pizza slice stall in the market and it was as great as always. So maybe not everything was all bad.)

An old college friend of mine just texted me to say that she and her husband are an hour up north of me on a short getaway.

It was a weird 5pm start for the #NHLBruins, but they didn't seem fazed by it. They started out strong but the first 5 minutes of the third period were a disaster, letting the 'canes back into the game, tied at 3. An exciting overtime but no goals led to a rare shootout win for the Bruins. I usually don't watch the shootout (too much of a hockey purist - glad the damn things aren't in the playoffs) but my wife made me keep it on and, lo and behold, they won! I guess we'll take the point. #today

#Today I am on the prowl for more distilled water to feed my CPAP machine. If you don’t know abt CPAP, it’s the little machine you use with a mask while you are sleeping to counter #sleepapnea. I’ve found one store that semi reliably has distilled water and tho it’s 20 minutes away the drive is thru some beautiful hills freshly green from recent rains which I will enjoy immensely. And maybe time to stop at Sloan Nursery if my quest is successful! 🌷

Yet another good morning between the pipes at #hockey this morning. We won, 7-3, although I was kept quite busy and despite the fact I didn't really feel on my game. Made a few nice stops but also probably should have stopped the 3 goals as well. Not sure how long my winning streak has gone on, but probably at least the last 8 skates. Only 6 more to go in the season and, to be honest, I'm ready for a break. I've probably only missed 2 or 3 skates all season. #today

It is supposed to get back up near 60 again today, so I've pulled out my first short sleeve shirt of the year. Well, I actually pretty much live in t-shirts and a sweatshirt, but in this case it is a polo shirt. From May until October, it's shorts and short sleeves. We got Adrienne off, although she won't get gone long. She will be coming back Thursday evening, as we are going to #PaxEast on Friday. We had a great time last year and we are really looking forward to it this year. I'm going to have to figure out what my used #boardgames budget will be. It's another wet and rainy day here in Northern California with some hard hitting winds expected later in the day. That means a new chance for more widespread power outages after we had only recently gotten power back following our second multi-day outage this year.

We are going to a wake this evening. Coach Paul has been battling cancer for a number of years now and it finally caught up with him. He and I coached our daughters in soccer when they were smaller and he was always a joy to work with. An Irish immigrant, he knew and loved his "football" and was always generous with his time and energy to the city soccer teams. He was one of the really great and genuine ones. His laugh and humor will be sorely missed. #today
