Due to working on my website and all the floor stuff I haven't had a #crochet hook in my hand for over a week! That's a long time for me to go without #crocheting. Grant is taking a bag of #crochet flowers round to his Mum's today for the wedding. There's probably about 40 or so there I managed to do, so hopefully that will be enough to go on the wedding arch which the bride and groom will walk through. This was actually an impromptu Indiana Jones post at first, hence the idol, but I changed it at the last minute. Inspired by the new Indy Lego sets, they bring back fond memories.
The TIE Striker is one of the better new Star Wars spaceships. I like how it fits with the earlier designs, the original TIE, the Bomber and the Interceptor.

I have enjoyed studying interiors with #Lego over the years. The oldest one here is from ten years ago, which makes this a #flashbackfriday post. There is also one from last year.
My favourite is probably the Mos Eisley Cantina, two different sets shown here. It's really difficult to shoot but when it works it looks really good. Also the Jabba's Lair with Rancor's Pit are nice, both pictured here also.

In my photographs the spaceship models are usually shown from some distance. The illusion of realism in closeups doesn't work that well when paired with real life backgrounds.
Closeups alone however, are kinda neat. I think.

Not really ice, but I did make them. I wanted to see how they'd look IF they were made of ice. It was fun.

This Millennium Falcon model was my first serious attempt to build a model for photography. It worked better than I had hoped for, but then the Millennium Falcon is very photogenic to begin with. Works like a charm.

We are currently experiencing a wonderful wintery weather, it is as close to a proper blizzard it gets over here in Finland.
The weather is perfect for this means of transportation. Come to think of it, this thing would be great converted to an RV. It’s a little slow for long trips but the views from up there would be fabulous!

I used to photograph #lego a lot, not that much lately. I still like it a lot though.
Two of these are from earlier this year, the lighter ones are from 2011, variations of an idea. My favourite scene, a lonesome snowtrooper on Hoth. I call that guy TK-24/7 because he's always on duty. Except when he's off of course.

Some studio shots of K-2SO. It’s a wonderful design, different to what already was, yet clearly from the same universe as the other droids. I like this one a lot.
The eyes were not easy to light but the effort was well worth the result.
Whenever you see a light on one of my scale models, it really is there, built in. For me that’s a thing.
