Dabei ruhen sich konservative Stimmen auf den von queeren Menschen erkämpften #Rechten aus, machen jedoch gleichzeitig Stimmung gegen aktuelle progressive Bewegungen. Der Ursprung des Gegenwinds lässt sich hier vordergründig mit fehlendem #Verständnis füreinander begründen. Denn wenn der Wandel innerhalb der Community einseitig für nichtig erklärt wird, bietet das den Nährboden für internalisierte #Queerfeindlichkeit. Die daraus resultierende Missgunst in den eigenen Reihen äußert sich auf unterschiedliche Weise: Der Vorwurf der #Ideologisierung (bis hin zur #Pathologisierung) ist ein beliebtes #Stilmittel der #Diskreditierung. Spitzen sich die Positionen weiterhin zu, gipfelt der Diskurs in der völligen #Entsolidarisierung.
In diesem Spannungsgefüge kristallisieren sich folglich zwei Gegensätze heraus: #Anfeindungen aus privilegierteren Positionen gegenüber Gruppierungen, die sich auf dem Weg in die gesellschaftliche Mitte befinden. Dass ebenjene Personen Jahrzehnte zuvor den gleichen #Kampf führen mussten, wird oftmals übergangen. Drawing on the principle of subsidiarity, this article develops a framework for allocating medical decision-making authority in the absence of capacity to consent and argues that decisional authority in paediatric transgender healthcare should generally lie in the patient. Regardless of patients' capacity, there is usually nobody better positioned to make medical decisions that go to the heart of a patient's identity than the patients themselves. Under the principle of subsidiarity, decisional authority should only be held by a higher level decision-maker, such as parents or judges, if lower level decision-makers are incapable of satisfactorily addressing the issue even with support and the higher level decision-maker is better positioned to satisfactorily address the issue than all lower level decision-makers. Because gender uniquely pertains to personal identity and self-realisation, parents and judges are rarely better positioned to make complex medical decisions. A cis-man who knows I'm trans accused me of mansplaining to him.
Then he mansplained that me mansplaining is a side-effect of taking testosterone.
But only for trans people.
According to him cis-men are born with T so they 'know' how to deal with its effect while trans people like me are too overwhelmed by it to be able to control it properly.
I was too flabbergasted to ask him how come rape, physical violence, mass shootings etc. are done mostly by cis-men supposedly 'in control' and not by 'rabid trans men' like me.

I'm not seeing what is so *radical* about wanting to be able to live your life the way you see fit, and not have the government in your bedroom, or the cops killing innocent people.
I don't see it being radical to say #ACAB, or #BLM, or that trans rights are human rights, or that they should leave us queer folks alone, or that people who want an abortion should be able to get one, or...
All of this seems "radical" only to small-minded people used to live in a box, and wanting to put others in boxes.
