A female Northern Black Korhan in the Damaraland region of Namibia. These birds will often run away but can fly fairly well too. They blend in well with the rocks and grassy areas they tend to be found in.

The Swainsons Spurfowl is very common in Tarangire National Park, Tanzania. Usually you get photos of them on the ground but I got lucky with this one on a branch.

Cruising along Lake Rwanyakazinga in Akagera National Park we came across this hippo heading into the water. It had been grazing on the grass along the shore.

We came across these Golden Monkeys in Rwanda where they were stealing potatoes from the farmers field. The children of the village were trying to keep the monkeys away.

White Fronted Bee Eater in the Linyati region of Botswana. These resident birds are quite common in this area and nest in colonies on the sand cliff riverbanks. #Wilderness Duma Tau camp, #Botswana

We usually think of the Hadada Ibis as a rather dull bird. However, when the sun hits their plumage you see they are really quite colorful. Wilderness Jacana camp, Okavango delta, Botswana
