"Judith & Holofernes" was one of the last sculptures Donatello finished in his life. It was once gilded (covered in gold leaf) & a little of the gilding is still visible today.
The #Sculpture was initially commissioned for a Medici family garden. When they were overthrown the statue was taken & displayed in front of the Uffizi.

A bush variety will work fine. Give the roots more room to grow, consistent with the amount of room you have, and you should be able to produce a thicker green foundation of leaves and more wonderful flowers to be displayed with their intoxicating scent.

Here's inspiration I found in a recent trip to Savannah, GA, USA, where a vine variety was used to surround an entrance. That's impact for eyes and nose!
