I just watched the first episode of Orphan Black on TVNZ+. They dropped the full 5 season 50 episodes at midday today.
My advice to you is don't bother. I felt like I was watching something meant for kids even if the subject matter isn't for kids.

I'll be honest, Mrs. Maisel has had its ups and downs for me, although enough ups to keep me hooked throughout the seasons.
While the last season had its issues (for a start, couldn't Ethan's Israeli wife be played by someone whose Hebrew isn't so American?!?) - I loved that final scene of Midge and Susie watching Jeopardy together. And I loved getting an actual ending to the series.

La série est parfois un peu longuette (honnêtement 4 épisodes auraient largement suffi), mais l'atmosphère "noir" est parfaitement restituée.
Choix très malin et évocateur : de nombreuses scènes ont été tournées à la Yodoko Guest House, une des réalisations de l'architecte Frank Lloyd Wright au Japon.

Visionnage récent : l'adaptation du roman #TheLongGoodbye de #RaymondChandler par la #NHK en 2014 (5 épisodes d'1 heure).
L'intrigue est transposée dans le Japon des années 1950, le détective Philip Marlowe devient Masuzawa Banji (excellemment interprété par Asano Tadanobu), mais malgré ce changement de cadre c'est paradoxalement une adaptation extrêmement fidèle du roman de Chandler.

My wife and I are big cartoon watchers, which is something we bonded over when we first met. Several years before we met, I had started a cartoon blog just for kicks and to talk about my favorite shows (I still write on it sometimes: https://animatedtvblog.wordpress.com).
When wifey and I first met, we especially bonded over things like The Simpsons, Futurama, Bob's Burgers, and American Dad. We even did a podcast together last year where we recorded and released a new episode every day in October that covered *every* Treehouse of Horror episode so far, with a segment-by-segment breakdown (https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/podcast-of-horror).
My favorite Simpsons episodes change a lot, and I like the later seasons too (including the current one- I've seen every episode of the show to date multiple times 🤣). One of my top favorite episodes is season 12's "The Computer Wore Menace Shoes". It's such a bizarre and hilarious episode with so many facets- Homer buying his first computer, starting a website (see the still of 'Homer's Web Page' below), and then being whisked away to a weird island because they think he knows too much.
It also has what might be my favorite chalkboard gag of all time, as Bart is writing 'I will only provide a urine sample when asked'. 🤣🤣
I love weird animation so much.

Hey #Lazyverse! Looking for a new #TV set, as my old one is starting to die. Is there anything not aggressively "smart" on the market? As I'm using Roku anyway, I'd ideally like to never see the TV's own UI and never let it update itself or even connect to the Internet. Does such a thing still exist?
Picture-wise, I'm not very choosy. I'm pretty sure it's going to be better than my 15 years old plasma panel.
