A quick landscape taken this afternoon on my way down to my mechanic. The appenine mountains run along the horizon towards the high mountains of Abruzzo in the distance.
Today I am working on the roof rebuilding a chimney. It is too hot, uncomfortable work, and I'm getting too old! But at least the view is a consolation!
Umbria can only be the'green heart of Italy' if it rains - and it's done a lot of that these last few days! Not disastrously so as in other Italian regions, but enough to make us long for summer!
This maybe should have been posted for #silentsunday yesterday, as it was (as always)silent, and a Sunday. But here it is today, our little house perched on the edge of its valley on a windy Spring day as the woods are starting to turn green.
