What is the norm for how those studies are handled? Do you do statistics on the data? What sort of statistics?
I'm being told by some folks in that field that some in process work I've been asked to review is qualitative and thus doesn't need statistics. Sample size is about 55 users. Does that track with what you'd expect?

This is a basic #UserInterface lesson that seems to have been forgotten, with "modern"/"flat" UIs hiding essential elements like scrollbars, and sending users on quests to find them and other items like menus in mysterious places.

I've been always attracted to beautiful things. I always list pros and cons in the things I use. I go through dozens of options.
The user interface has HUGE value for me and it can weigh so much it can even top some of the downsides. But even if ALL of the other features are fine and the UI is bad, I have no desire in using the software. It's just the way it is and I'm pretty sure bad UI is a big turn-off for most of the people. Who doesn't love nice looking things?
@Tusky - Any chance we can add an option to make the "Load More" button more visually distinct? I can't count the number of times I've scrolled past it and am left wondering why I'm just seeing yesterday's post.

Yes, creating a good UI is hard.
You may lower the bar if it's only going to be used by a few experts.
Nevertheless, an interface that is only 'obvious' to those that designed it is not ready for wide usage.
The best UI is the one that doesn't need a manual.
There is a really good example on the relatively recent example when, trying to perform a drill, they sent a real emergency alert.

Bereits kurz nachdem ich am 15. Februar einen #Testserver aufgesetzt hatte, habe ich schon gemerkt, dass mich #Misskey wohl ein wenig länger beschäftigen wird 😉
Deshalb poste ich auch immer noch von diesem #Server, der jetzt dauerhaft online, und für Benutzerregistrierungen geöffnet ist 😀
Das hat natürlich seine Gründe, und die möchte ich hier einmal aufzählen.
Vorteile:

✅ Keine 500 #Zeichenbegrenzung.
✅ Wohl das #Userinterface, mit den derzeit mächtigsten Einstellmöglichkeiten.
✅ #Chat, #Gruppen und #Kanäle
✅ Clips - im Grunde öffentliche #Lesezeichen.
✅ #Drive – Alle hochgeladenen Medien zentral verwalten.
Nachteile:
❌ Bisher nur zwei #Android - Apps ( #MilkTea und #SubwayTooter ); #Fedilab unterstützt derzeit noch nicht.
❌ Ich musste mich erst einmal, nach vielen Jahren Mastodon, an das nun andere Handling gewöhnen.
❌ Und nicht zuletzt, schon wieder neue Begriffe:
