“I can confirm we are conducting an #investigation on behalf of Elections BC,” #PortMoody #Police spokesperson Const. Sam Zacharias told Global News.

#ElectionsBC has also confirmed the investigation.

“We identified potential spending irregularities during a compliance review of Mark Sager’s campaign financing disclosure statement for the 2022 General Local Elections,” the non-partisan organization said in a statement.

#Vancouver council is set to discuss whether a solution to the city’s increasing #homelessness issue lies in easing what’s required of #developers building new #housing in the #DowntownEastside, and helping owners & operators of existing buildings with urgent repairs & renovations.

According to a report done by #Colliers #Canada, a #CommercialRealEstate services firm, Vancouver is currently sitting at an 8.6 per cent vacancy rate which is a six-year high for the city. #VictoriaBC has a 6.5 per cent total #OfficeVacancy rate.

About $166,000 in #fines were issued to #MetroVancouver residents who did not abide by restrictions put in place this summer to try to #conserve #water.
