Just look at these awesome #Rhododendron… pink as anything and oh so delicate, elegant in appearance.

I’ve seen many in white, too!

Most species are native to eastern Asia and the Himalayan region, but smaller numbers occur elsewhere in Asia, and in North America, Europe and Australia.

Fun fact; there exists, 1,024 different species of Rhododendron 😳🙌

✧ Victoria ✧

Victoria (1819–1901) was Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 20 June 1837 until her death, the longest reign in British history to that point. Victoria was the only child of Prince Edward, Duke of Kent and Strathearn (the fourth son of George III), and Princess Victoria of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld. Edward died in 1820,...

Awaiting the arrival of our first #storm of the fall season after a very dry summer with an exceptional number of forest fires. It'll take some time for sufficient rain to fall to feed the parched landscape. This upcoming week of storms should help. Hoping the wind expected Sunday night/Monday doesn't cause too much damage, given the trees are pretty weak & full of leaves right now. #Victoria #weather #climate

Damn right I will make you think about every breath you take without a mask while riding on a poorly ventilated can full of people. You better feel uncomfortable.

In 2012, a lone wolf appeared on an island near #Victoria #BritishColumbia, Canada.
When he first showed up on the island, local authorities said he couldn’t survive. There were no deer to hunt, no year-round source of fresh water. They said that he would be a danger, as he was so close to the city. They debated shooting him. Yet somehow, against the odds, the wolf found a way to survive and thrive,

Any particular recommendations for a random internet dude you know almost nothing about?

I like coffee shops, bookstores, local's favorite's greasy spoons, and micro brew. A nice park or forest to hike or run through is great too. If it is a thing in Canada, farmer's markets are cool.

A rational road policy would be to reduce the speed limit to 60km/hr until road works can be done to widened the road shoulder to make it safer.

Under normal conditions a driver encountering a cyclist on this road is going to need to slow from 80km/hr to 20 km/hr immediately upon seeing the cyclist as the road isn't wide enough to safely overtake.

Minimum stopping distance at 80 km/hr is 65 metres. Some corners on this road don't provide that distance of visibility (which is why overtaking isn't allowed on this road).

Stumbled on this truly awesome #Magnolia × soulangeana (Magnolia denudata × Magnolia liliiflora) this morning, also known as the saucer magnolia or sometimes the tulip tree.

It is a hybrid flowering plant in the genus Magnolia and family Magnoliaceae.

It is a deciduous tree with large, early-blooming flowers and I’ve seen many lately, in various shades of white, pink, and purple.

I read with note that it is one of the most commonly used magnolias in horticulture, being widely planted in the British Isles, especially in the south of England; and in the United States, especially the east and west coasts.

Elegance all the way!

Pink #Camellia blooming proud in #Malvern #Australia.

Noticed most camellias in Melbs atm are bountiful and full flowered. They’ve come out in the ‘correct’ time. Most of trees are jam packed with colour!

And they’re healthy, with bright green foliage.

Although, this strange ol season and the sunshine of late (we’re 2/3 into winter), is bringing out many spring-time flora out to play, ahead of their usual time.

#DimorphothecaPluvialis, common names white African daisy, Cape rain-daisy, Cape daisy or rain daisy, is a plant species native to South Africa and Namibia.

The camera depicted these beauties perfectly; they were just as vibrant and visually dynamic in appearance irl, as you’re seeing here.
