I setup a venue with one of my cameras and a laptop pre-configured to allow them to stream a specific event weekly. OBS, and restream io. It also records when streaming. The camera is a PTZ, but it has a focusing issue when zooming. So keeping on angle is ideal.

I also setup for me to remote into the laptop in case of issue l.

I also also setup this laptop to after hours copy/sync the recorded stream to my home NAS and then remove the file from the laptop.

The laptop is a freebee I got and it is in the care of someone I trust. If it got damaged or lost, I would not cry, and it would only affect them being able to do this themselves vs pay me to be on site.

This could easily be expanded to record any event and let them offer it as a stepup from the normal fee.

Last month I hit a virtual wall I didn't know was there. I got the furthest into burnout than I ever had. A lot happened the two weeks before and it wore me out more than I ever expected. Despit that I managed to livestream a show and do photography for an event. They provided some distraction but also took a toll.

The weeks since I have been doing a lot of restructure to give myself room to recharge. This includes cancelling and changing the obligations I have outside of day job.

Today I am finally feeling a net positive in the morning, so progress is being made. But I'm definitely not there yet. This has not been fun. I have conventions I run stuff at next week and next month. I'm not in a position to abandon them so I will do what I can to make them happen.

Woke up early this morning with a sinus headache. Took something for it, but it's still here. So much for sleeping in.

Now I'm sitting on the deck with a coffee and the cat while waiting for the wife to come down so we can hit up some early brunch.

It has been a long week. Dayjob was busy and I had four live streaming events, a rehersal, and had to create assets for one of the shows. Not a normal week. So I packed up my laptop with photos from last Saturday that I took and after brunch, the wife and I are headed to a coffee shop to hang out, listen to music and I'll sift photos.

Even on a day off, I feel compelled to do something. But I do realize I need to make more time for me to be doing less.

Last night got to play with Adobe Photoshop's Generative Fill in their Beta. I needed those red curtains extended to the right and Content Aware Fill just was not doing it. After a few tries and also realizing I could leave the text box empty, it did a great job.

My Streamdeck is crowing about a new update on my desktop and Event laptop. Sigh. This is almost always a 'process' because updating one component tends to break plugins that also need updates. So I tend to let it sit until I have a lot of other updates to do. My thought is to waste one night fixing it vs wasting 1/2 a night many times over.

Also, in a production situation, it is the same way. You don't upgrade just to upgrade.

I'm a streamer who tries to enjoy playing video games on original hardware and has an interest in streaming and content creating tech in general. I've been casually streaming for 3 years and I love to share what I know with people, so feel free to ask questions! That being said, I do this as a hobby. In the real world, I'm an engineer by degree, and my other hobbies include tabletop RPGs like Pathfinder, video games, and recently I've been getting into photography and videography as well as music creation! As always, I have far too many hobbies and not enough time and energy for all of them.
