Hungary, 1966. A traditional Hungarian wedding parade through a rather muddy village. These occassions are a lot of fun with much music, traditions, and usually a serious amount of házi pálinka (traditional home-made fruit brandy) abuse! We were lucky enough to attend one such wedding and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The MC, or vőfély, seen here walking beside the bride, is always a key figure.

This is Clovelly, a village on the North Devon coast. People have lived here since the Iron Age. It is privately owned - in the hands of just three famiilies since the mid C13th.
This is the only street - a steep hill running down to the sea - at dusk. The street is cobbled and too steep for any traffic except pack donkeys or hand-drawn sledges.
Getting the weekly shop back from the supermarket is an interesting experience.
