Dziś wieczorem pojawiły się nowe – czwarte już – bety systemów od Apple na wszystkie urządzenia. Użytkownicy iPhone'a otrzymają nową funkcję…
Po wielu latach Apple umożliwi użytkownikom iPhone'ów zmianę domyślnego dźwięku powiadomień. Do tej pory można było zmienić te dźwięki dla następujących kategorii:
- Dzwonek
- SMS/MMS
- Nowa poczta głosowa
- Nowa poczta
- Wysłanie poczty
- Alerty kalendarza
- Alerty przypomnień
W iOS 17.2 beta 4 dojdzie ósma kategoria – domyślne alerty, gdzie ustawimy dźwięk powiadomienia dla powiadomień, które nie wpisują się w żadną z powyższych kategorii, czyli te, które możemy słyszeć najczęściej.
W pozostałych systemach nie odnotowano póki co widocznych zmian w dzisiejszych betach. Zapewne więc zostało wyłapanych kilka błędów, popracowano nad optymalizacją działania itp.

Jeśli wierzyć użytkownikowi AR2014 na Twitterze, to trzecia beta watchOS 10.2, przywraca gest zmiany tarczy na głównym ekranie Apple Watchów.
O braku tego gestu, obok paru innych zmian na gorsze, wspomniałem kilka miesięcy temu. Narzekałem też na niedziałające automatyzacje, które do dzisiaj nie funkcjonują tak, jak powinny – ten trend nie pokazywania żadnych powiadomień, gdy coś nie działa w OS-ach Apple’a, powinien zdecydowanie zostać zmieniony na coś bardziej przyjaznego. Miesiąc temu też opublikowałem swoje finalne wrażenia z watchOS 10. Dlaczego finalne? Ano od tamtej pory już nie założyłem Apple Watcha na nadgarstek. Są ku temu też inne powody, ale obecnie noszę mechaniczny zegarek zamiast Ultry.

iOS/iPadOS 17.2 beta 3
- Łatwe dodawanie ulubionych utworów w Apple Music do biblioteki. W sekcji Muzyka w aplikacji Ustawienia dostępna jest teraz opcja dodawania utworów do biblioteki muzycznej, gdy są one dodane do ulubionych. Ta funkcja jest domyślnie włączona, ale w razie potrzeby można ją wyłączyć.
- Apple dodało opcję wyłączania wbudowanych podpowiedzi podczas pisania. Można uzyskać do niego dostęp, otwierając aplikację Ustawienia, wybierając Ogólne, przechodząc do Klawiatura i przewijając w dół do opcji „Pokaż prognozy w tekście”.
- W ustawieniach telefonu i FaceTime dostępna jest opcja „Udostępnij nazwę i zdjęcie”, która wykorzystuje plakat kontaktu. Udostępnianie nazw i zdjęć można wyłączyć, ustawić opcję „Tylko kontakty” lub opcję „Zawsze pytaj”, co spowoduje wyświetlenie monitu przed udostępnieniem tych informacji innym osobom.

Co ciekawe, numer kompilacji VisionOS beta 6 to 21N5300a – to duży skok w porównaniu z poprzednią wersją, 21N5259j. Zwykle litera „a” na końcu numeru kompilacji sugeruje, że jest ona uważana za stabilną i zbliża się do ostatecznej wersji.
- Dodanie nowych filmów wprowadzających, które poprowadzą użytkowników przez proces konfiguracji nowego headsetu. 35-sekundowy film pokazany podczas procesu konfiguracji zdradza, jak użytkownicy mogą po prostu spojrzeć na elementy na ekranie, takie jak ikony aplikacji, i kliknąć je, dotykając dwoma palcami.
- Kolejny film dodany do 6. wersji beta pokazuje nam bardziej szczegółowo, jak użytkownicy mogą tworzyć swoją „Personę” 3D do rozmów FaceTime za pomocą Apple Vision Pro. My apple watch s5 battery health went down under 80% finally. Went to an Apple store for battery replacement. They took my watch and sent me a replacement watch. YES, the replacement watch came with #WatchOS9. I hated the #WatchOS10. So now my watch looks brand new, 100% battery health, and it has WatchOS9. I turned the automatic update OFF as soon as I could. Yes, it's all good now 😃

- Pojawiła się nowa funkcja „Ostrzeżenie o wrażliwych treściach”, którą teraz rozszerzono o naklejki w aplikacji Wiadomości i plakaty kontaktów w aplikacji Kontakty.
Jak włączyć Sensitive Content Warnings?
- Otwórz aplikację Ustawienia.
- Dalej > Prywatność i bezpieczeństwo.
- Przewiń w dół i dalej > Ostrzeżenie o wrażliwych treściach.
- Włącz pozycję „Ostrzeżenie o treściach wrażliwych”. Gotowe!
Co się stanie, jak to włączę?
System sam ostrzeże cię w ramach aplikacji Wiadomości, gdy otrzymasz wrażliwe treści.
- W aplikacji Ustawienia, menu „Coverage” zostało przeniesione do menu nadrzędnego menu „Ogólne”. Wcześniej było ono dostępne poprzez Ustawienia > Ogólne > Informacje.
- Pojawiły się dwie nowe funkcje Siri:
- może ona teraz informować nas o przewidywanym czasie przybycia podczas korzystania z Apple Maps
- a także podawać aktualną wysokość.
- Apple testuje nową funkcję kategorii w ramach aplikacji App Store.

My experience is that it barely makes it through a day now, or randomly sometimes uses way more than it should and I have to put it on the charger in the late afternoon (never had these issues with the watchOS 9). Seems to be bugs… 😕
I’ve really given #watchOS10 a chance but I wish I could rollback to watchOS 9 😔 I never use the new widgets view and desperately want slide up from bottom to once again be Control Center and the side button to be my favorite apps. I also find it so perplexing that in order to chain workouts together I need to end my current workout in order to start the next one. Previously you could hit the plus button to start the next workout. These are huge regressions and I hear it from a bunch of people.

@j3di @habibcham where was it before on this face? Just looks odd and very un-Apple - its design tardiness. On the #WatchOS10 betas the notification dot and other tiny icons were always central on the Modular Ultra face - with or without a bezel. Then come the release, they started to randomly move about.
watchOS 10 is so “complicated” and changed so much of its user friendly UI. We used to do things with ease but now most of them need 2 or 3 steps more.

It’s not obvious which button is going to be tapped, but cleverly, after you tap your fingers, the watch highlights the button, and pauses briefly before actioning it. It’s only actioned if you keep the watch face facing you, which means you can cancel the action one-handed if it’s not the button you expected, simply by turning your wrist away.

Dzień po wydaniu oficjalnych wersji systemów Apple znowu rusza z kolejnymi betami. Te obfitują w nowości.
Jak się zapewne można spodziewać, najwięcej nowości znajdziemy w iOS. Ale tym razem chciałbym zacząć od innego systemu, który bardzo często jest pomijany…

Tutaj pojawiło się zupełnie nowe menu z lewej strony. Po jego rozwinięciu ukazuje się lista z kilkoma głównymi kategoriami.

Dzięki temu można szybciej nawigować między różnymi kanałami.

Wróćmy jednak do głównego systemu i nowości w najnowszej becie:
- Przede wszystkim pojawiła się zapowiadana na konferencji Apple nowa aplikacja – Dziennik do prowadzenia osobistych zapisów z własnego życia. Jest zawarta w aktualizacji systemu, choć ma także swoją stronę w App Store.
- Pojawiło się kilka zmian w aplikacji Muzyka:
- pojawiły się współdzielone playlisty, które umożliwiają m.in. dodawanie utworów czy zmianę ich kolejności;
- w oparciu o funkcję Ulubione, która pojawiła się już w iOS 17.1, do naszych playlist automatycznie dodana jest nowa – Ulubione utwory.
- Użytkownicy najnowszych iPhone'ów mogą wybrać nową dedykowaną akcję dla przycisku czynności – tłumaczenie, która po wyzwoleniu pozwala od razu tłumaczyć podyktowane słowa.
- Pojawiły się cztery nowe widżety:
- trzy z nich z aplikacji Pogoda to szczegóły pogody w danej chwili, prognoza na dzień oraz czas wschodu i zachodu słońca;
- czwarty z nich to nowy cyfrowy zegar.
- W aplikacji Wiadomości pojawiła się wreszcie funkcja Contact Key Verificaton.
- W reakcji na dymki wiadomości możemy teraz dodawać dowolne emoji oraz własne naklejki.
- Dodano integrację Apple Music z filtrami Skupienia, co pozwala wyłączyć historię słuchanych utworów w danym trybie skupienia.

Q for Apple Watch Series 9/Ultra 2 owners who have upgraded to watchOS 10.1: Is the feature for asking Siri for health metrics now active? For example, “Siri, how much sleep did I get last night?" It's a feature "coming later in 2023," but I don't see it listed in the 10.1 release notes.
Seems like #WatchOS10.1 still has the off centre notification dot in the Modular Ultra face without a bezel and the altitude is now fixed in metres!! Can we not have a choice like in the Depth app for feet or meters? In the UK some use feet, others use metres. #Apple

I wonder if there are any options for resetting the Home app on watchOS if it’s misbehaving (it’s currently only showing one Home for me)…
There’s no way to uninstall the app and I can’t find any settings for it either. Maybe the only way is to wipe the entire watch, again?

When #WatchOS10 was announced I was meh. I have a Series 8 #AppleWatch
Now a month later I love the fun complication-less Snoopy face and get all my quick info in the widgets. So much better than before that I didn’t believe until I used it in my everyday life.
Usually the new feature hype doesn’t live up for me in reality. Nice when something goes the other way.
I may be a bit optimistic... but I think removing all music from my watch might have fixed my battery drain issues on #watchos10
Seems like it was constantly trying to sync with my phone, causing it to constantly using Bluetooth / WiFi, leading to battery drain?
Anyone have experience with the new #watchOS10 feature where you're supposed to be able to just raise your wrist up to your mouth and speak to trigger #Siri, no 'hey Siri' required?
I haven't had luck with it, even with the Watch basically right at my mouth. Am I holding it wrong?
More than a day later, it never did sync the sysdiagnose file across. Maybe it didn’t even do one, despite the haptic feedback indicating that it did?
Curiously the configuration profile that you need to install on watchOS to allow it to capture a sysdiagnose shows as “Verified” in the Watch app on iOS but “Not Verified” on the watch itself. I wonder if that has anything to do with it 🤔 In any case, I’ve missed the opportunity to catch the issue in action.
Looks like the Apple Watch severe battery life drain bug is back again for me today. It’s used 40% battery in about two hours! The watch is actually warm to the touch!
I’m currently trying to capture a sysdiagnose of it, but after installing the profile and following the instructions it doesn’t seem to be syncing the sysdiagnose to the iPhone (it’s been 25 minutes and it still hasn’t synced across).
This is incredibly frustrating. What a buggy release.

Turns out you *can* downgrade your #AppleWatch from #WatchOS10 to #WatchOS9.
Here are the steps #AppleSupport will walk you through:
1. Unpair your watch
2. What's your zip code?
3. Your watch is out of warranty. That will be $355.95.
Mind you, I just spent $349.97 for a brand new Series 8 (thankfully) running WatchOS 9. Yes, I hate WatchOS 10 that much.
So I’m re-pairing my Series 5, which I'll use for workouts, even though the Workout app too had design regressions with the latest updates.

This Shortcut has started half-working. Now it runs, but it starts an Other workout instead of the type specified in the Start Workout action. 🤷♂️
I’m not loving the new #WatchOS10 weather app interface. It breaks my brain.
I wish the weather app in #watchOS10 would remember the last view I selected, or would allow me to select the default view.
At this point I always have to turn the digital crown at least once. 😐
A very first world problem, I know. But still... UX and all that. 🤷🏻♂️

Daily #WatchOS10 rant. The Smart Stack should have been a watch face.
Micro #WatchOS10 rant. This is a picture that appears your watch screen to provide driving directions. The actual driving instruction is a tiny part of what is a pretty small screen.
Another piece of bad design noted in #WatchOS10. If you’re exercising you can start a playlist by swiping right (it takes you to the ‘Now Playing’ screen) but once you stop exercising you can’t stop the music without going back to the main menu or Smart Stack and having to select from there.

Kind of annoying in Watch OS 10 in the activity app I have to scroll so much just to see my step count for the day. Why did they move it all the way at the bottom? It was fine before.
First time ever iOS is taking that time to restore everything on a new iPhone. Some of the special awards on the Fitness App are still missing. Am I the only one experiencing this?

The #WatchOS10 changes to switching watch faces are a big disappointment. I’ll give the new widget-centric approach a chance, but I can’t see it being better.
Previously I could swipe over to my alternate watch face and tap once to start a workout. Now I swipe up, then scroll to the bottom, then tap. If I overscroll, it shows the list of apps 😢
Ok, the oldest son likes my snoopy watch face, and I guess I need to show him the watch multiple times a day to check out the snoopy animations. #watchos10
And this must be one of the most practical #WatchOS10 updates I’ve discovered on my #Apple Watch so far:
Tap the crown while in Maps to display a circle of what's within walking distance (e.g. within a 15-minute walk). Handy for finding a restaurant while on the road.
To all #AppleWatch users updating to #watchOS10 and your battery life looks different it is more than likely the optimize battery feature. #Apple did not explain this well.

I’m not sure what #Apple was thinking in #watchOS10. Unlike every other big release on their devices, I hate it.
From rearranging my grid without notice to the new UI metaphor changing literally every gesture and button, it’s mindless tinkering posing as improvement.
iOS 17, Weather app is still inaccurate. However if you ask Siri for weather forecast on your Watch then you get it from The Weather Channel which is more reliable. I reported this to Apple like 6 months ago on iOS 16. #ios17 #applewatch #siri #weather #apple #watchos10

Just updated my watch to #watchOS10 and I have to say, I'm impressed that a device released in 2018 (Series 4) still works perfectly fine. It got all the watch faces and nice fluid animation updates 😍.

Ebenfalls habe ich #Wahoo Trittfrequenz und Geschwindigkeitssenoren am Bike. Meine Apple Watch will mir kein FTP berechnen (Watt bleiben immer auf 0 auf der Uhr). Habe die Sensoren schon neu gekoppelt aber nix hilft. Ideen?
Ich wechsle meine Watch-Faces mehrmals pro Tag, je nachdem, was grad ansteht. Und es ist ganz und gar nicht hilfreich, dass #watchOS10 das nun erschwert. Ey!
Da kann auch Snoopy nicht wirklich drüber hinweghelfen 🙄.

As someone who has been using an Watch since the first version this new interface is indeed quite a change is going to take some time to get used to.

#Siri also had a big year—summoning it with just "Siri" instead of “Hey Siri” seems like a small change, but it’s dramatically increased my Siri usage.

The Snoopy watch face in #watchOS10 makes me so happy. And this is the most I've ever been interested in Snoopy. So cute.
Can those with an Apple Watch Ultra confirm that with the new Ultra Modular face , if you don’t select anything around the bezels the red notification dot is off centre ? I’m seeing that it’s only in its correct top middle position if you have Depth , Seconds or Elevation selected. Can anyone else confirm I’m not going mad ?
