Ich glaube, jetzt habe ich das wirklich richtig echt, also tatsächlich passende Farbschema für meinen Blog gefunden. :D
Das vorherige Blau ging meiner Ansicht nach schon ein wenig zu sehr ins Türkise. Hoffe, dass das so nicht zu stechend, zu grell und vor allem gut lesbar ist. Gerade, was den weißen Text auf dem Blau angeht.
Vanwege constante nginx-problemen met m'n Wordpress, heb ik besloten om eens gans minimaal te gaan met m'n site. Eén pagina met alle onderdelen (landing, mini galerie, contact) daarin. Deftige HTML5, CSS en wat Javascript en verder geen database of PHP (al ga ik misschien wel een formulier maken daarin). Het ganse framewerk is al klaar, vanavond de content (afbeeldingen, tekst) in orde steken. En dan testen en schaven. 🙂

In a Monday that was far from fun, which presented unexpected challenges and offered a little too much unbidden feedback, there was one bright and happy 25 minute meeting. My co-working space colleague, friend and web host Imelda invited me to rethink & reframe a long-overdue overhaul of my website in terms of a more sustainable/lower carbon footprint approach. Excited to be a guinea pig and see where this leads.

I may be totally off base here, but I just read a post about modern web development and browser support, and it infuriated me. Somehow in this timeline we became stuck in this idea that we need to narrowly define how end users (read "everyone who isn't me") interact with information. People/companies began using terms like #experience and #journey to describe modern web and UI design as if somehow locking everyone into the same interface was a virtue.
I understand this from a design standpoint, would want my work of art on display too, but I absolutely abhor this from a usability standpoint.
The best user interfaces are near infinitely customizable. The best data is delivered presentation agnostic.
This means full freedom for the user to customize and streamline their own experience. You give them the tools they need, don't dictate to them how they are to interact. If you can't give them the tools, a default is fine, but let them change from that default. Frameworks, not rails.
There's a reason people are caught using old browsers and old operating systems, they were not part of the in-crowd focus groups that I'm starting to think are purely fictional. Modern UI and web design is the ultimate #enshitification of the user experience. Full stop.
