I've never swallowed a live fish but I did eat live crickets, worms, and other small animals during my late teens and early 20s. I was in the Army Infantry for much of that time and did it as a manly man stunt. Thankfully I outgrew that as well as many other idiocies and in college became a vegetarian and would consider this barbaric unless done for survival/sustenance.

Harken back to 2007, and remember how many friends and acquaintances felt compelled to post their congratulatory greetings on your wall. Fast-forward to the 2020s, and Facebook is a relative wasteland... It’s a strange archival afterlife for a site known — at least in Latin America — as a bastion of elderly relatives, who still pepper walls with congratulations on birthdays.
The most surprising was Aeromexico, which sent what seemed to be an AI-generated video, full of detailed information about me. I am sure the captain addressing me by my name, age, and other personal information was meant to be charming and personable, but it actually induced a low-grade panic about how much these companies knew about me.

This is counter-intuitive, but I'm in the Canadian #prairies. There are wildfires across northern #Saskatchewan, #Alberta, and #BC. And we haven't had any smoke here for weeks.
The smoke can go up into the #atmosphere, drift a long way, and then be pressed down to the ground again by a high-pressure system.

He begged me to come see him, he wanted to be held & so on. Except he only told me where his apartment was, not the actual address. I noticed he only seemed to be responding to some messages, as if it wasn’t in view he didn’t read it. Eventually I went back to the app to leave another message. After making a big deal about his age being incorrect on Friday - he updated it to 7 years younger than he told me he was, & said he was looking for consistency. That was my sign. Number blocked. #weird

My wife and I are big cartoon watchers, which is something we bonded over when we first met. Several years before we met, I had started a cartoon blog just for kicks and to talk about my favorite shows (I still write on it sometimes: https://animatedtvblog.wordpress.com).
When wifey and I first met, we especially bonded over things like The Simpsons, Futurama, Bob's Burgers, and American Dad. We even did a podcast together last year where we recorded and released a new episode every day in October that covered *every* Treehouse of Horror episode so far, with a segment-by-segment breakdown (https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/podcast-of-horror).
My favorite Simpsons episodes change a lot, and I like the later seasons too (including the current one- I've seen every episode of the show to date multiple times 🤣). One of my top favorite episodes is season 12's "The Computer Wore Menace Shoes". It's such a bizarre and hilarious episode with so many facets- Homer buying his first computer, starting a website (see the still of 'Homer's Web Page' below), and then being whisked away to a weird island because they think he knows too much.
It also has what might be my favorite chalkboard gag of all time, as Bart is writing 'I will only provide a urine sample when asked'. 🤣🤣

In my dream last night, I was flirted with by a 5-foot-tall man with a Hitler mustache, who flashed me a devilishly charming smile and told me I looked like I "could use a little Hitler."
So, yeah, that's what it's like inside MY brain sometimes.
My wife does these paid online surveys and they sometimes ask these totally weird, inane questions. Companies are so out of touch with people, they really think we have this strong of relationships with brands and products. It's beyond weird. She's started answering questions like these with hilarious responses when they're this dumb. 🤣

It turns out that the fabric seat cover, and/or the gas suspension creates such a strong electrostatic discharge (ESD) that my screen shuts off for a short time.
The solution? No idea yet, but it seems that insulating the chair with copper foil and connecting it to a socket (ground) might help, as you can see here:

Now... "Zaat" was a catfish monster. Of sorts. A large decorated wheel detailed his revenge plans. It was a very organized movie monster. Scrapbooking for vengeance. The plan was mad science. And it worked.
"Blood Rage" had a kid gone bad. Unsupervised children became Drive-In Movie ax murderers back then. A useful plot device. Better than my 80s kid reality. When left alone I just ate Cookie Crisp cereal. Watched that Mr. T cartoon. Slasher movies need more. You sell the sizzle. "Blood Rage" tossed a piece of pumpkin pie and made "That is NOT cranberry sauce" a catchphrase.
The Zaat screenplay writer would later be on Ancient Aliens. Where a national audience heard talk of a Mysterious Orb. Would later write a sci-fi novel after dreaming the first chapter. His sci-fi dreams came true.
After a "Blood Rage" screening I sat across from the Producer's lawyer. We spoke of Yngwie Malmsteen. All sweep arpeggios and swagger. There was a "Blood Rage Girl" there. We spoke of St. Louis desserts. A Gooey Butter cake born of necessity. Or created by accident.
