Wow, somehow I missed this #Zelda #WindWaker done in Unreal Engine from a few years ago. So great!
So I just bought the #Resolve Studio dongle... The last stuff I'm going to make in #PremierePro is the #3DS and #WiiU #eShop serieses and the #WindWaker series, but after that, I'll be using Resolve. Already reinstalled the free version a few months ago, but I finally decided to just buy the dongle so I can use the Studio version's features on #Linux when I leave Windows again at #Windows10 end of support. Weird that Fusion requires 32 GB of RAM on Linux, good thing I have it.
Started playing #WindWaker on the #WiiU last night and I had forgotten how abominably unfun Forsaken Fortress is on the first visit.
Who honestly thought it would be a smart idea to have that horror as the first instance!?
Glad I managed to figure out how to stop my #hair from falling out and in fact have it grow back, because when it was really bad (very thin on top but no bald spots like him thankfully) and I hadn't shaved my face in a while I started looking like a creep, like him (still haven't seen him in about 8.5 years and I'm happy about that). I discussed it briefly in an episode of #WindWaker from late 2020 or early 2021, but my secret formula for this is doing great.

After a long weekend marathon, Wind Waker is finished! Thoughts:
- That kid hiding in the tree - rolling into the tree was my LAST instinct. I had like 3 ways of getting up onto the tree with him and the kid didn’t care haha
- Really enjoyed the buddy-system dungeons, a shortcut to do the command melody would have been amazing though
- LOVED the “where the sword hilt points” mechanic
- Zelda did more damage to me than Ganon lol
- The huge plus of this game is the expressiveness of the character art, and the variety of stories about different characters to /feel/ about
- The sea just makes for a boring world to explore, no matter how fast you can travel through it, sorry
Minish Cap for the GBA is next, then going back to the WiiU for Teilight Princess after that!

I wanted to download a picture of Link of Hyrule for some color references, and I clicked the wrong thing... twice.
Started the other day on #WindWaker! I'm playing the HD version on the WiiU at a friend's suggestion.
At the moment I'm partially through the second dungeon, the forest one, and I got some thoughts.
It plays SUPER smooth. Very nice feel. The swordplay together with the z-targeting is setting the stage for later 3d #Zelda games too.
The boating about is neat for a minute then gets super tedious real fast. It also makes the general world feel way smaller (ironically) and kinda boring.
Points for introducing the #Rito, but points away cuz that design just ain't it chief

Gracefully aging visuals and bold, but controlled decisions make for a mostly watertight beginning, which unfortunately erodes as it progresses and the worst aspects of its design possibilities are let in.

Pese al tremendo agujero que tiene viajar al FUTURO para arreglar algo del pasado (me parece algo tontísimo y sin lógica xD) Ocarina of Time merece ser la reliquia que es y ser honorado como está sucediendo en Tears of the Kingdom.

Recently I got a new #CaptureCard, and it can do 1920x1440p recordings if I so wanted to (actually up to 2048x2160p, but I have nothing that goes that high), but I'm not going to record #WindWaker at 1440p because that's overkill and my monitor is 1080p. It can do 1080p60 though, unlike my #Elgato (it could do 720p60, however).

In #Windwaker, a girl who is sneaking around to steal some rupees makes a sound effect like "shi-shi" and the text says "sshhhh sshhh", and then she tells you to go away. This is some Japanese #paralinguistic thing that wasn't translated properly, right?
What's that thing called in wide-open #videogames where first you have to complete some minor task before you're allowed out in the open? Some dated examples:
#KingdomOfLoathing required proof of spelling before you could chat with other players.
#WindWaker requires a series of tasks culminating with a sail before you can see the sea.
#Ultima7 required solving a minor murder mystery before being let out of the first town and into the world.
It's not just a tutorial, there's a name for this.
Well, I did it. Turns out that the optimal tree-watering path in #WindWaker works, if you play near-optimally. I completed the task in 19:51 minutes (time limit is 20:00).
Fun! I wrote some code, calculated the optimal path, and performed it using emulator savestates. Does this count as a tool-assisted speedrun? My first #TAS!
Legend of #Zelda, the #WindWaker is making me solve a #TravellingSalesmanProblem. Well, a travelling waterboy problem, but same idea. I have to go around the world watering trees and I'm on a time limit.
