@liw A good example of a stupid rule (or at least mechanical limitation that the designers considered beneficial) was the #WW2 German #Enigma machine never encoding a letter with itself; that's one of the main reasons Bletchley Park was able to crack it.
The modern equivalent is limiting what can go in a password, which significantly reduces the size of the field (when you consider that most passwords are still syllabic).
Possédant déjà une vaste gamme de jeux historiques, MicroProse accueille aujourd'hui un nouveau titre dans son catalogue.

We've played each of the first three scenarios twice, swapping sides for the second game. In each scenario, the same side won both games, raising questions about balance.
New Il-2 Sturmovik video:
A slower paced battle between two heavy (twin-engine) fighters: the British de Havilland Mosquito FB XVIII & the German Messerschmitt Bf 110G.
After a mutually painful merge, the Mosquito gained the upper hand, but it took a long time to bring down the 'Zerstörer' ('Destroyer').
Definitely a very different experience to flying and fighting in fast, agile, single-engine aircraft.

"Account Rendered" Melita Maschmann. 4 stars. Autobiography of a woman who was a committed & diligent National Socialist (#Nazi), of her experience in youth work & propaganda, and her journey coming to terms with the truth of what she participated in. Description of the clinical dispossession of the Poles is disturbing (and new to me), as is the readiness with which everyday mediocre people were led into misguided beliefs, alternative facts & constrained thinking, to do prosaic work which had horrifyingly evil outcomes.
