"The KLWX Doppler Weather Radar is out of service. The radar recently experienced a mechanical failure. Replacement parts have arrived, and the radar is expected to return to full operation sometime on Monday, June 5. Until then, surrounding NWS/DOD/FAA weather radars can be used."

Good news first - The Cannon AFB (KFDX) radar site that was out the past week or so is back!

The SPC outlook for today (5/28/2023) has a slight risk for the high plains region of the country.
Fortunately it appears that the tornado risk is very low, less than 2% in any given area. I have excluded the tornado map for that reason.
