I had a blast with the Quest 2, but that thing is bulky, probably to house the battery and fan.
Reduce the CPU power, and you probably won't need such a big battery and fan.
Meanwhile, Immersed's Visor is sleek and minimalistic, and I suspect it's not very powerful, but powerful enough to project a monitor in a 3D environment.
Class of XR device:
desktop monitor.
The whole point of the device is to receive desktop video feed via 802.11n, and relay that in a virtual environment.
No fancy CPU or GPU; just something to project on a 3D environment with headtracking, plus passthrough.
I have no idea what such a device should be called.
Even though I said I'd never replace a desktop environment (including laptop) with anything else, but I can totally imagine myself replacing a monitor with a an XR device.
So I just hooked up my Apple Magic Keyboard to the Meta Quest 2 (not the 3, just the 2).
The experience is not too bad.
I can see why people feel right at home using a VR device like a desktop device. Hell they may even prefer it.

After the devastating Dutch elections [22-11-'23] I decided to dedicate my toots back to the original goal.
I care about a lot of issues, most global some national; but I won't be 'tooting' about them all.
First and formost I WANT to 'toot' about:

Because I trust that most people reading know about the dreadfull future of climate change, I want to spread the, possible, solutions to a problem rather than reiterate on the problem.

One of those solution might be sueing the polluters or governments on human rights, violations or #Ecoside
* #ClimateAction
Action is by all means a solution.
* #ClimateEmergency

As said I want to focus on the global issue. I don't want to nitpick on too much principles. Like: "What's worse: eating cows or driving diesel?" Both are devastating behaviors of intitled rich people!
On the otherhand therefore I truly respect ANY effort to make a change for the better.
Most of all... I want to add instead of preach. Bring some bits of the puzzle to the table.
I'm NOT a scientist of any kind. I'm just a disabled old white guy typing on a desk reading and searching a lot.
I tend to toot 2 - 3 times a day, but that's NOT a promise.
I tend to follow anyone who 'retoots' or 'favourites' my toots. Forget it, I'm vain.

Ich hoffe sehr, dass wir in Deutschland eine ähnlich große Kampagne erleben werden, wie in den Niederlanden.
Während in letzter Zeit viele Aktionsformen wirkungslos verpufft sind, konnte man in Den Haag beobachten, dass Massenbesetzungen eine tatsächliche Veränderung bewirken können. Das ist in Deutschland auch möglich, man muss es nur tun.
