Been splitting time between painting and doing #3dArt specifically stuff in #zbrush because I wanna participate in the Sculpt Off later this week.

This little stegosaurus is part of my practice for that and is based off a sketch by MItch Leeuwe, which I found on his Instagram.

Got some progress done on the human head study. First lookdev render after retopo, detail sculpt and skin texture paint.

With the detail sculpt I again didn't go for enough contrast but have to do some revisions on the displacement anyway.

I sculpted this back in 2021 for work and I'm still super happy with how the sculpt itself came out. Came out in the 2021 Nov Elder Scrolls crate. Really wish I'd been able to do more sculpting for work (I'd definitely be in a better place portfolio-wise) but so it goes. On to my own projects now! Rendered in Blender.

@stroughtonsmith fwiw apple was pushing metal support in #blender pretty actively lately. #zbrush and #substancepainter are also available for Mac. Apple’s issue was that the GPU was underpowered for a same price PC, meaning render times would be much more efficient on Windows.

As an experiment, I created most of the scene in the MoI 3D NURBS / solids editor, then transferred it to ZBrush for bending, blending and sculpting. Finally, the scene was exported to Keyshot for materials, lighting and rendering.
